General NACS Show® Information
What is the NACS Show?
The NACS Show is the convenience store industry's most comprehensive event featuring over 1,300 exhibitors covering 375,000 net square feet of exhibit space, general sessions, educational sessions on important industry topics and networking events all give NACS Show attendees the ultimate opportunity for retailers to discover new products, advances in technology and ways to increase customer satisfaction and enhance their businesses.

When is the NACS Show?
The NACS Show 2008 will take place Saturday, October 4 through Tuesday, October 7. Exhibits will be open Sunday, October 5 through Tuesday, October 7.

Where is the NACS Show?
The NACS Show 2008 will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, USA. 

How many people are expected to attend the NACS Show 2008?

What should I wear? 
Business casual dress is appropriate for all events, general sessions, educational sessions, exhibit hall as well as the Sunday night Welcome Reception. Please remember to wear comfortable shoes as the Show floor is over 950,000 gross square feet!

When will education session information become available? 
Information on workshops will be available April 1 on the NACS Show Web site.

What is NACS Show Connect?
NACS Show Connect is the online personal assistant that intelligently mines through the NACS Show community to find the knowledge, people and products most closely matched to meeting your objectives.It's free. You will automatically receive a portal when you register. NACS Show Connect attendee justification reports will be available in summer 2008. Attendees will receive a series of e-mails as we get closer to the event identifying top sessions, top attendees and top exhibits.

What is the NACS Show International Lounge? 
The NACS Show International Lounge is an area equipped with telephones and internet access, along with meeting rooms and translation services (upon request), designed to enhance your productivity while in Atlanta. Available the duration of the NACS Show, the International Lounge will be the location of several events planned exclusively for international visitors.

How can I obtain a list of exhibitors?  
Currently, the exhibitors participating in the 2007 event is posted. Please visit the Exhibitor Directory to access the list. A comprehensive list of 2008 exhibitors will be available online in late Spring 2008.
  
How can I obtain a list of attendees? 
An electronic version of the attendee list is only available to current exhibitors. If you are a current exhibitor, please contact your account manager to request the order form for the electronic list. 

A searchable electronic list is available under Expo & Directory.

The NACS Show 2007 directory booklets can also be obtained by completing an order form. There is a $20.00 charge for the hard copy lists. To request the order form for a NACS Show directory, please call 877-684-3600.

Are complimentary badges offered to prospective exhibitors? 
No, you must purchase a full registration, one-day pass or expo-only pass in order to attend the NACS Show. See registration fees below.

What is SmartBooth?
SmartBooth is a completely automated web-based lead generation service for exhibitors that automatically finds and reports to you with your key leads as registration builds and drives them to your booth. Exhibitors can increase their return on investment from NACS Show 2007.

Are children allowed on the Show floor?
Yes. All children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Absolutely no children under the age of 16 will be allowed on the Show floor during move-in and move-out as it is extremely dangerous.

Are there wheelchair and scooter rentals available?
Yes. McCormick Place has manual push wheelchairs available for use by attendees while in the convention center. A credit card is required for a security deposit, however, there is no rental charge to use the wheelchair. Wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis and can be found at the Information Desks.

Do I have to be a NACS member to attend?
You do not have to be a member of NACS to attend the Show. However, members do receive discounted registration rates.

How much does it cost to attend the Show?
Rates and registration information will be available on April 1.

Are there government rates? 
No, we do not offer government rates.
     
What is the registration deadline?
The Super Saver cut-off date is August 15, 2008. Attendees who register on or before this date will have a significant savings over those who choose to register on-site.

Housing
How do I reserve a hotel room? 
Housing will be available online on April 1.
